To visit Vietnam, you can either obtain a visa through the Vietnamese embassy in your country or opt for the more convenient "Visa on Arrival" service, widely offered by travel agencies in Vietnam. This service involves filling out an application form to secure a visa approval letter, which can be sent to you via fax or email. Upon arrival at one of the three main international airports - Noi Bai, Da Nang, or Tan Son Nhat - you'll need to present this letter, your valid passport, and two passport-sized photos (4cm x 6cm) to receive your visa. For further assistance, please contact a travel consultant.

The most commonly chosen visa for tourists is a single-entry visa valid for one month, although multiple-entry options are available.

If your visa-free period ends or your visa expires, you must apply for an extension or renewal at the regional Immigration Departments in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, or Da Nang. Addresses and contact details are provided for these offices, with specific working hours from Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings.

Additionally, according to Decree 80/2013/QD-TTg, as of October 3, 2014, travelers can visit Phu Quoc Island without a visa for up to 30 days. To qualify, your passport must be valid for at least six months, and you should have a return ticket or a transit ticket through a Vietnamese airport without entering the mainland. Note that a visa is required to visit other parts of Vietnam if not exempt.
