Thuy Bieu village
Thuy Bieu, an ancient village situated on the banks of the Perfume River, is just 7 km away from the center of Hue city. It remains a well-preserved and authentic natural and cultural gem. The village consists of seven hamlets, with Nguyet Bieu and Luong Quan being the most scenic. The local people sustain themselves through rice farming, gardening, and crafting handmade goods.
Thuy Bieu is often referred to as the "green village" due to the lush greenery that fills every corner: from trees and vegetable gardens to fruit orchards, and even the small houses tucked away in the gardens under the shade of the trees.
However, the village is most commonly known as "Thanh Tra Village," named after its famous **Thanh Tra** grapefruit gardens. This special variety of grapefruit was once reserved for the kings and royal families. The trees along the river are beautifully adorned with pure white flowers, creating a romantic and captivating scene. During July and August, the grapefruits are harvested and sent throughout the country, and today they are often chosen as a gift to bring back from Hue.
In Thuy Bieu, you will find friendly and welcoming locals who are eager to offer you a glass of water and show you around their homes. With their genuine hospitality and non-commercial nature, the simplicity of life here is truly comfortable. This village is the perfect place to immerse yourself in the local lifestyle, and Tropicana Travel highly recommends it as a must-visit destination!
