The sweets are served by deaf people, and communication with them is made easy thanks to an ingenious system. Customers will find it comfortable to communicate with both the host and the staff. For once during your trip, there will be no language barrier. Communication takes on a whole new dimension.

You may wonder how to communicate with the staff. The answer is simple: at each table, there is a small tray containing a stack of paper and six small wooden pieces with attached note paper. You can write your order or any requests on the paper. If you need more water, have a question, or want to pay, just place a piece of wood with your request on the table, and the staff will bring what you need.

What’s impressive is that the staff at Reaching Out don’t say a single word, yet their warmth is felt by all visitors. Enthusiastic, cheerful, attentive, and caring - these are the compliments given by foreign visitors to the special staff here. When thinking of a tea room, one may picture small shops with the sweet smell of baked goods and vintage English-style cups. But Reaching Out is different. It’s a real Vietnamese tea room, where sitting there feels like traveling downriver into the past, surrounded by chinaware, porcelain bowls, celadon pottery, and blue-and-white ceramics or silver and copper plates.

At Reaching Out, you won’t find familiar teas like Earl Grey or Masala Chai. Instead, you can enjoy only Vietnamese tea. In such a beautiful and pure Vietnamese setting, nothing is more fitting than a fragrant cup of tea from the Vietnamese countryside.
